Physical Activities
The boys football team have made it to the Cumann na mBunscol final. We couldn't be prouder of the team and their coaches.
We are lucky to have been appointed a GPO in Rathbeggan N.S. Diarmuid will visit the school every Thursday and work with the children. There is great excitement about this activity.

The children have started Cricket Workshops with thanks to Cricket Leinster and Meath Sports Partnership. We look forward to developing our Cricket skills over the coming weeks.

The Rathbeggan girls had their first match against Wilkinstown Wednesday the 12th September. The

Rathbeggan girls took the lead for the first half with the score 3.5-3.1, Wilkinstown caught up in the second half

to leave the Rathbeggan girls two points up in the last minute of the second half an unexpected goal rolled in. Which left the final score 10.1- 7.5 to them when the whistle blew. We were narrowly defeated. But over all the Rathbeggan girls had an outstanding performance. Well done to all the girls. Report by Niamh Byrne & Jane Dolan

Rathbeggan National School is a hive of activity. We encourage children to lead full, active and healthy lives. The children are given the opportunity to engage in a wide variety of physical activities throughout the year.

The Parents Association just purchased new goals for our fabulous playing field. We now have 7 multi sport goals on the field at the rear of the school for the children to use for lunch time, games, competitions and training.
