On Monday evening we facilitated a Cyber Safety Workshop for parents. It was terrific to have so many parents in attendance, eager to learn about internet safety and protecting their children. Paula O'Connor is doing incredible work around the country making children and their parents aware of gaming, online predators, security settings, social media apps etc. We hope this workshop will lead us towards a community of responsible internet users. Paula has her own Facebook Page "Don't be Mean Behind Your Screen" which keeps people up to date with new features, in this rapidly changing technological world we live in. www.webwise.ie is another excellent source of information for parents in relation to internet safety. Many thanks to the PA who funded a worthwhile workshop & provided refreshments for the event.
