Last week we created cooler boxes to test and see which materials make the best insulators. We placed ice cubes in each box and checked them after timed intervals to see which cubes melted quickest. The winning group took approximately 4 hours for all the ice cubes to melt completely. They used insulated foil, tin foil and cotton wool.
